YAACOBI

Yaacobi born in Africa (North) in 1953, has lived in France from the age of three, and was influenced by the surrounding culture.

Finally, in 1999, he arrived in the Middle East, in the Land of Israel to fully fulfill his jewish art identity and participate in Israel Art History.

He actualized himself in practicing medicine and artistic creation as a painter.

After deep hesitancy concerning his professional future, he studied medicine in Paris, but knew that art would never leave him. One day, his works will also be in front!

YAACOBI, as an artist, studied and gained his artistic knowledge alone. He is a self-taught artist in this field and was influenced by artists such as Magritte, Mondrian and also the literary field, with the writer Stefan Zweig.

Immigrating to Israel, with family, and children in the 2000s, was not a simple task that has required him to put aside his creative will for many years.

After a special opportunity to present in an important Jerusalem gallery a single exhibition, YAACOBI reconnected himself to his inner and deep world. From that moment, art blends in with professional life. Today it is important for him to share, to talk, to explain what is going on behind his works. He has since exhibited in many group exhibitions in Israel, and recently in one called "Hasidim in Color" at The Shelter Gallery in Jerusalem.

This artist's confrontation to the public contributed to the publication of several newspaper articles in Israel, as well as in the United States. Two catalogs were printed following this intense return to art.

In 2016, he opened its own Studio, in Jerusalem to the public. He also gives lectures in cultural meetings, and also in the galleries where his works are exhibited.
