Lilac Abramsky-Arazi, PhD integrates three fields in her work: painting, dance and neuropsychology, in an attempt to create art with psychological depth and movement. She aspires to build bridges between the emotional and the bodily, the symbolic and the concrete.
Lilac paints mostly with acrylic on canvas, seeking to engage and destabilize the observer without giving up aesthetics and simplicity. After many years of working as a psychologist, Lilac translates processes of deconstruction-reconstruction of materials and worlds into her art. Her artwork has been shown in exhibitions in Israel and abroad, and this year one of her paintings was shortlisted for the Blooom award.
Lilac lives in Omer with her husband and three children.
